Faridabad: The padyatra of Bageshwar Dham chief saint Dhirendra Krishna Shastri reached Faridabad at 9 am on Saturday. Thousands of devotees participated in it. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also participated in the padyatra. During this time, famous cricketers and other prominent personalities of the country also supported the yatra.
When will National Highway close?
Here, on Sunday, the yatra will leave from Dussehra ground towards the highway in the morning itself. According to police officials, the National Highway will be closed for some time in the afternoon. Since the padyatra will pass through Ballabhgarh Railway Overbridge, which is quite narrow. Due to this, the traffic of vehicles going from Delhi to Mathura and from Mathura to Delhi will be stopped. Traffic will remain disrupted for some time under the Ballabhgarh flyover, while the Sohna railway overbridge will also remain closed.
Why did drivers lose their way?
About 130 buses and 60-70 other vehicles had left for the padyatra from Bageshwar Dham itself. The police took over the traffic management on the roads. However, despite police advisory, many drivers proceeded towards the closed roads. Vigilant police stopped them and suggested alternative routes, but due to lack of knowledge of the routes, they were seen wandering.
What was the condition of the colonies?
The road from Faridabad to Gurgaon (Pali-Mangar) remained completely closed from 8 am on Saturday morning till the end of the journey. The road from Pali-Bhakri Road towards Badkhal was also closed. Due to this, vehicles were diverted inside Sainik Colony, where the pressure of vehicles inside the colony increased and people kept roaming around. Dhirendra Shastri could not reach Dussehra ground till around 8 pm on Saturday evening. As soon as he entered NIT, a huge crowd gathered. On this Shastri said, "It is not the crowd, but the enthusiasm of the people."
Traffic will remain disrupted on Sunday also
From 7 am on Sunday, roads on both sides from Dussehra Ground (NIT) to Ballabhgarh Dussehra Ground via Hardware Chowk and Sohna T-Point will remain closed till noon. Drivers have been advised to avoid these routes.
What is today's route plan in Faridabad?
Police spokesperson Yashpal said that the padyatra will start from Dussehra ground at 8 am on Sunday. This metro will move towards Ballabhgarh from the service lane passing under Mod, Bus Stand (NIT), Hardware Chowk, Sector-22 and 23 Chowk, Lakhani Chowk, Sohna T-Point, Ballabhgarh Flyover. After lunch at Dussehra Ground, the yatra will leave for Sikri.
Be careful on these routes
From 7 am on Sunday, the roads will remain completely closed on both sides from Dussehra Ground (NIT) to Ballabhgarh Dussehra Ground via Hardware Chowk, Sohna T-Point till noon. The yatra will pass through the service lane from JCB Chowk of the highway, after which the highway will reopen.
